I saw a walnut shell in the gutter
it reminded me of those little boats you make when you're a child to race across the bird bath when the ice has melted (remember being able to lift off a whole piece of ice without it breaking?) 
for some reason, this made me look up - there was a clear blue sky above me! and then a song started spinning around in my head

Actually, several--but cuz the crabby reading fairies started out multi-tasking, I figured that'd happen. LOL
I just got off the phone with a gal I'd not talked to for years--and it was really cool.
And then I landed here to read and I saw the ships--gosh, we had some that hung on the tree as a wee thing. Thinkin' the siblings made 'em--and some had babies in 'em.
And yes! I remember lifting off that ice and hoping it wouldn't break. (I was pretty darn good at it, too!)
And a good morning to you, ma'am. It's one of those where, even if you tried to pull the ice from the birdbath the whole darn thing would come with it.
And it ain't even winter yet....eeeeeeshhhh....
Well this made me smile tho not unexpectedly, just with pleasure.
The little walnut boats remind me of some precious but buried memory and it was just very nice. Thank you :)
