so X is stuck in Manhattan, thus he missed Teen Too's 15th birthday. . . I wrapped up all sorts of nonsense, it's weird a teenage birthday - there's nothing he really wants or needs (lucky chap!) but he still expects presents; after the disaster of the gifts (why would he not like Sponge Bob Square Pants pj trousers, I ask you?) I regained my status as super celebrating birthday mother by making a rather splendid chocolate cake and we also ordered in pizzas (yeay! no washing up!); his father phoned and everyone had a chat; X told me that just outside his office was one of my favourite pieces of art. . .
anyway, it's all put in mind of a song, one of my favourites

I love The Pogues. I have one of their albums. (Your presentation of this song makes me think I'll visit iTunes and get more.)
I have pj's. I have Homer Simpson and also an orange pair with the Milton Bradley board game of "Operation" designs, you know, the body outline with all the bones?
We are in the midst of a sorm. Snow all day, started last night. Might get a lot. Then severe cold to follow for a couple of days.
I'd love to have a chocolate cake.
Peace.
*laughing* His storm is dumpin' on me! Seriously--I mean, the gift of giving is all about the season.....but he coulda kept the ice!
Snow, I'm good with.
Maybe we'll get snowman snow! :-)
In the meantime, can I just say I barely understood a word the gent mumbled? Omgosh, I must be gettin' old.....
Happy belated wishes to the teen. Oh mygosh...pizza sounds most excellent!
It's a great song. (I did find a version with lyrics Mel, as I had the same difficulty as you)
And lucky Teen, presents and chocolate cake and pizza.
