a bunch of flowers?
I don't do it often enough. . .
. . .but when I do, my heart sings! the other day I was wandering around the supermarket, as you do when your cupboards are bare, and having filled my basket I then checked my rainy day purse and I decided that I had a few spare pennies so stopped at the flower displays
not quite the same as one's own garden, but not to be sniffed at (altho the freesias were very tempting), I settled on a small bunch of hyacinths; I couldn't find a photo on Mrs G Image that do my modest selection justice - the stems are a dark burgundy in colour and the bells of the flowers change from a pale blue-grey at the base to a deep purple-blue at the tips, whilst the leaves such an incredible vibrant green - and my words can't convey their beauty either

whatever your day brings you
I hope you have a moment
or two
when your heart sings

I found that hyacinths are definitely to be sniffed at!
Oh they're gorgeous. They don't survive the winters here very well. Bit out of their element, I'd guess--but they're a favored cut flower for spring--they're just too wonderful.
I could do with some colour and splashes of spring things. Gray is starting to irritate me. :-/
I love to have flowers in the house. Unfortunately, I'm surrounded by people who think it's a sin to cut them from your own garden but, perversely, a waste to buy them if you have your own.
I'll enjoy yours though. Oh the heavenly scent of hyacinths!
