Mel it is an exquisite story of Europe from the turn of the C20th and on

well worth taking a moment to dip into

*passes white up full to the brim with fresh delicious coffee*

mig for some reason I thought you'd recommended it to me!

can't understand why anyone who bought it and read it would pass it onto a charity shop, it's a keeper

but!! if you saw it, make haste and return and purchase it!!

you'll love it, totally. . .

. . .I hope!

there is a bit of a grim moment around 1938, but then a life has ups and downs. . .

altho sometimes the downs are abhorrent

. . .aren't they delightful Mel? glad you're on the blankie with a hot mug of the good stuff

Christophe you'll find the Parisian chapters interesting - has Patroclus read it yet? (does she have time to read, with her young brood?)
