but! all the food - canapes, cheese, cup cakes, birthday cake, chilli - was served (and it was all eaten, apart from enough chilli for the birthday girl to have a decent breakfast)(or possibly lunch, depending on when she woke up this morning/afternoon), the butlers were organised (every bottle was emptied), all the pates and dishes and cutlery and glasses washed (and there were a lot of glasses), all the rubbish tidied (boy oh boy, was there a lot of rubbish); yours truly arrived at eighteen hundred hours on Saturday evening and left at three thirty Sunday morning

.
and! I was woken up this morning at half eight by a text from the dentist reminding me of my appointment this week
.

So your teeth hurt as well?
Glad all went well. It must have been quite a party. I have this vision of all these bodies lying inert - but elegantly - in a deep litter of champagne corks and party popper streamers.
I had the butlers carry the unconcsious into the yurt (yes, there was a Mongolian tent!) and cover them in warm blankets. . .
. . .so that they didn't clutter up the party space, you understand
there was the litter you describe - very astute!
Wow.
I think I could celebrate a big O like that.
Well, all except for the littered bodies. *laughing*
(What dentist calls on a Sunday?!)
the dentist's office send a text yesterday to remind me of my appointment tomorrow. . .
. . .at EIGHT THIRTY ON A SUNDAY?!?!?!?!?!
*shakes head*
I'll have forgotten about it by then!
I think NOBGM had a fantastic time

So thoughtful those dentist people. My hygienist phones me but not on a Sunday!
It sounds like a truly magnificent party :)
