it's coming on Christmas, they're cutting down trees putting up reindeer and singing songs of joy and peace I wish I had a river I could skate away on
but it don't snow here, it stays pretty green
gonna make a lot of money, then I'm gonna quit this crazy scene. . .
I wish I had a river so wide, I would teach my feet to fly
I wish I had a river I could skate away on
'cause I made my baby cryyou tried hard to help me and you put me at ease
then loved me so naughty, made me weak in my knees. . .
I'm so hard to handle, I'm selfish and I'm sad
now I lost the best baby that I ever had. . .
I wish I had a river so wide I could teach my feet to fly
I wish I had a river that I could skate away on
'cause I made my baby say goodbye

Ohhhh.....what a lovely song to start the day by. She has such a beautiful voice.

Ty for this--

And a fine, flurry morning to you, ma'am!

she has a very haunting vocal quality, me thinks

(-:

only cold rain here - they keep promising snow, but all we have are the Arctic winds that are supposed to be bringing the snow. . . and the rain

not quite the same!

anyhoo, glad you're enjoying your first cup of the day in the chilly predawn, and glad to be of service with a beautiful song

(any sign of the pre-holiday care package? it had a miniature Christmas lights necklace in it. . .)(amongst other things)(darn if it never gets to you - blasted post office!)

Not yet! But I got the most beautiful holiday card of the season today--complete with crystals and glitter. Omgosh it's just gorgeous......

It sits atop the television center--when I put it down long enough. Ty ty ty. It's beautiful and I love it dearly!
