Horatio had a lovely day, it would appear. He was happily running when I entered. :-) And if Horatio is happy, Mel is happy! (for Horatio, especially!)
You know I met Elvis? Yes, I did, well, not officially, but I was working in Chicago and doing a trade show for the newly introduced Yamaha organs, (musical instruments, not apendage attachments or anything like that). I was in the basement of the Conrad Hilton, a famous Chicago landmark hotel, waiting for the freight elevator. I had a fancy new organ on a furniture moving dolly, ready to roll it on the elevator to take it to the floor the show was on. The elevator stops at my floor, the doors open and there he is, The King, with an entourage of people about him. I said "Hello, and he responded in kind before he got into the black limosuine that had pulled up to take him to where he was performing a concert. I actually saw him leave the building. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Telling this story and sharing it with friends is a lovely thing to be able to do.
but that's a really tricky one, because
