at Harrods so, we collected Mini-Teen's Oldest Bestest Friend (who moved to Spain three years ago) from OBF's father's place of work (where the local rumours are that Bruce Oldfield is designing The Royal Wedding Dress)
(if that's correct, you heard it here first; if it's not correct, well who cares anyhow?) and then popped into Harrods for a celebratory ice cream (Mini-Teen has visited OBF a few times, but it's the first time that OBF has been back to the UK)
(the only way to visit an ice cream parlour is with a couple of teens in tow) I have to admit that impressive tho the Food Halls are, what wowed me the most were the colours of the macaroons. . .

I hope there is something sweet
and deliciously tasty
(and possibly pretty to look at too!)
in your day today

Pretty!!!!
But did you go to fourth floor and watch trains and see the UFO and the falcon?!
Just sayin'.....pretty maccaroons and flapping falcons would be a great way to spend halfterm! :-)
Okay. I just haffta say that the maccaroons are pretty colours--I'm just not sure how a hot pink one would taste.
Check that out and get back to me, will ya? LOL You're braver than I....and everyone knows I don't do pink. :-/
I think these modern macaroon are very over-rated!! they look really pretty, but they taste like a whispher compared to the ones that my grandmother used to make. . .
we did go to the fourth floor, but only saw puppies and hamsters - didn't visit the toys (Mini-Teen is far too grown up for toys!! not sure I am, but she was setting the itinerary. . .)
but, oh those macaroons are wonderful colours. . .
(-:
Would make a nice array of colours for something knitted with Vicuna wool?
That aqua coloured one though - would that be mint flavoured? Sea flavoured? Blue cheese flavoured???! Just a tiny bit worrying.
hmmmmmmmmmmm I'm not too sure (I only looked at them)!
but I hope not cheese flavour. . . that would suggest that someone somewhere manufactures "essence of cheese" - eeeeeeuw!!!
