and twenty years ago yesterday my father phoned me very very early in the morning to said "your mother just died"; so, in her honour, I trekked up to her favourite haberdashery department in her favourite London store (where she used to take me as a treat when I was a young girl); the shopfront is adorned with a piece by one of my favourite artists, Hepworth, altho it's not my favourite of her works. . .
the haberdashery department is one of my favourites (that of Liberty is my favourite) and I went in order to acquire some lovely yarn for a new project
(-:
I know my mother wouldn't have approved of the yarn acquisition or the project but she'd smile to think that that's what I did yesterday

I vividly remember the day my mother died--and I was just a small thing. Not even a mini teen.
I do not know what she would have or wouldn't have approved of. I'd guess, that much like me, her tolerance and understanding and compassion would have broadened with age and experience. I'd like to think so anyway--dunno. She might have been narrow in her vision and set in her ways. (bit like me some moments, I'm sure--bit like all of us, I'd guess)
Dunno why I shared that. I guess that's not important.
Maybe not even relevant.
I just know that approval isn't love........neither is disapproval.
Love is......love.
And Hepworth is cool.
Oy brother do I need a cuppa coffee or WHAT?!
And the wordver?
'recur'
What's up with that? :-/
My Mother died in her sleep on April Fool's day. The year I'm not so sure of. But I know she'd have appreciated the humour of it.
Liberty is a fabulous shop!
XXXXXXXXXXX and hugs to you both, you lovely people you

My mom died the day before my first chemo treatment.
She knew I was on the road to recovery and that I had my new hubby to look after me.
She would be happy to know i did recover and hubby still looks after me.
