when the rain is blowing in your face and the whole world is on your caseI could offer you a warm embrace to make you feel my love

when the evening shadows and the stars appear and there is no one there to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years, to make you feel my love

I know you haven’t made your mind up yet but I would never do you wrongI’ve known it from the moment that we met,
no doubt in my mind where you belong

I’d go hungry, I’d go black and blue, I’d go crawling down the avenuethere’s nothing that I wouldn’t do to make you feel my love

the storms are raging on the rollin’ sea and on the highway of regretthe winds of change are blowing wild and free,
you ain’t seen nothing like me yet

I could make you happy, make your dreams come true, nothing that I wouldn’t do, go to the ends of the earth for you

to make you feel my love

BOB DYLAN

Nice way to start any day - even a Monday :)
I ddn't know Dylan wrote anything so gentle and lyrical.
And I love the photos - especially the rainy brolly one.

And even a Tuesday.
Though....I do have the Thomas the Tank Engine Song stuck.
Oh boy......LOL

Mid week is a good thing.
I'm hoping all is right in your world.
I'd tell you it's quiet here--but the robins are going absolutely nutz this morning, so quiet isn't quite accurate.

It's very cool though!

Oh good.

You know me--I start to fret a bit, borrow troubles and all that--when there's silence.

*humming happily*

I'm good now. :-)

I'm not sure what it is, but I have hardly been sitting here at all. . . you know, now I think about it - it must be something to do with giving up smoking!!!

Is coffee ready?

Mel said...

A cup of coffee is welcome (I was laughing, thinking that's what the CCCCCC was about) any day of the week!

(there's something new and different, eh?)

Then the 'smoke free' must be going well! YEAH, rah, and wooooooohooooooo!!
Seriously--I'm very proud for you on that one. I'm sure the kiddo is proud of you as well.

:-)

Mel said...

Uh oh......

It IS April Fools Day.

Right.....must plot! LOL

Mel said...

It's Sunday--no outing for me. Storm's brewing, April showers and all that.

But it's a good morning for a tune. *laughing* I imagine himself is shaking his head in the study--seems I've been doing this one for a bit of time.
Don't get me wrong--wayyyyyyyy better than the Elmo Duckie song! ;-)

Mel said...

OH!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Darn good thing himself just rang the mom.
And changed the calendar to April.

hoping you all had lovely days!

Mel said...

<-- has not clue about Cluedo but I'm sure it was great fun.

GOOD for the kiddos! And good for the mom.
I'm hopin' today is a day filled with happiness and spring fever.

Sunshine and warmth is a given yaknow!

:-)

Mel said...

Yup--have I mentioned how much I like the sneakers on the line?
I wonder what creative souls pitched 'em so well.
NOT that I'd pitch mine...

english inukshuk said...

it's supposed to mean something I think, throwing your shoes over a line like that - but I'm not sure what. . .

I've only got one pair of shoes with laces and they are my most comfortable so I wouldn't throw them anywhere no matter what it meant!

(-:

ask The Brit about Cluedo (we didn't have it when I was a child, and I haven't ever owned it; so when we discover a box in a hotel or a pub my guys love playing it)

Mel said...

Ohhhhhhhh..... Clue!! Gosh, it's been forever since we've played a game of Clue in this family.

Next time the girl is over.
And they just returned--picked 'em up at the airport and was loved by a happy sun kissed, GLAD to see Nana, bug! :-)

*happily humming*

Stopping over for coffee, don'tchaknow. :-)

With a dash of cream this morning, ty.

Oh surrreeee. I get greedy about the cupcakes--BOOM--you take 'em away.

Fine.

That's fine.
I'll just sit, listen to Garth sing and sip my cuppa coffee whilest I pout.

Don't mind me.....

*sniffle*
I'll be fine.
Starving for pretty cupcakes, but fine nonetheless.

Ohhhhhhhhhh.....*sniffle*

Mel said...

The good news--I don't last long when it comes to pouting.

Seems those 'oh look, a chicken!!' moments work in my favor even if one wouldn't think so.

Oh, look.....a hamster! I bet he's been lonely--the poor thing.

And while we're on the subject of cold mornings--we're having another one.

Which is why coffee is a good thing.

All roads lead to a good cuppa coffee, dontchaknow. :-)

Mel said...

I wonder if this borders on stalking! LOL

Nah. Just checking in. It's been a.....difficult day so a good cuppa coffee and a tune is a welcomed thing.

I'm figuring a 'Calgon take me away' moment is in order but alas--I don't have any of that stuff. Though I do have bubbles for the bath and duckies--and a glowing goldfish which, just so ya know, is one of the favored toys of the bug when she visits for the weekend. NO she can't have it--she can visit it. :-/ Kinda like Horatio Hamster. Wouldn't be the same to come here and not have a hamster that I can make tap dance for treats!

Just sayin'......

Now see, the day already feels lighter!
Thanks for that!

Just popping in - Hi Mel :)

The nicest people stop in to hummmm.

And yesthankyou-- Coffee. Black.

Mel said...

Ah well...

The weather is turning nicer by the day (finally!!). So it's good to be out and about. And new habits are good--helps replace old ones, hopefully fun ones!

I'm now into the habit of arising at 4am. I guess that's not all bad. No coffee stealing though...which is probably a good thing for him.
Sucks for me. LOL

Happy Tuesday, ma'am!

But I am NOT okay with Moofie eating my comments!

Sheeeeeeeshhhhhh.

you do make me smile so. . .

well! I've returned - a little browner (I was a lot browner, but it all peeled off), a little more educated (those Ancient Egyptians, boy oh boy, are they something else), a little fitter (daily pool swimming and snorkeling, dontchaknow), a little more confident (not being picked up at the strange foreign airport in the middle of the night and then the security people locking said airport doors behind you leaving you standing all alone on the tarmac and surviving to tell the tale does that for a person wouldn't you just guess it), a little more relaxed (wonder how long that'll last!?!?!?!) and every so pleased to be home to share some photos with y'all. . .

. . .when I've unpacked, done the laundry, fed the cats, found the camera cable and most importantly caught up with what you've been up to!

Yay! Welcome back! Oh I can't wait for the unpacking and cats and cable and everything.
Well ok, I'll wait.

(But really? All alone in an Egyptian airport? No crowds of cab drivers and caleche drivers all wanting to take you everywhere? Oh I really can't wait!)
(Not as patient as Mel- not as well behaved anyway :)

Oh, well yaknow, I know alllll about cords for downloading and silly computery programs that might or might not talk to the camera.

I always talk to the camera.
I'm kinda like that--I talk to inanimate objects all the time.

Yes, I know they have medication for 'issues' like that.
I don't consider it an issue--I consider it a .....privilege.
HA. :-/
