I couldn't resist. . . SORRY!!

in my house, it's cup cakes (for the street party!)(to be filmed by a crew from NBC!!) not Dixie Cups. . . but in honour of the occasion. . . let's all have a hum or a sing-a-long, shall we?

spring is here, the sky is blue, birds all sing as if they knew
today's the day we'll say I do and we'll never be lonely anymore
because we're
goin' to the chapel and we're gonna get married. . .
gee, I really love you and we're gonna get married
goin' to the chapel of love
bells will ring, the sun will shine, I'll be his and he'll be mine
we'll love until the end of time and we'll never be lonely anymore
because we're
goin' to the chapel and we're gonna get married
gee, I really love you and we're gonna get married
goin' to the chapel of love

I would like to see your cupcakes, of course Inukshuk. I just assumed they'd be all parcelled up in red white and blue tissue with pink ribbons on top ready for the party :)
(Or parcelled up in pink and white tissue and scattered with red white and blue confetti).

Are there any left by the way? All this talk of cup cake is making my mouth water!

Oh but was she not just beautiful?

Holy cow.

However, I'm sure she pales in comparison to the cupcakes.

If you know anyone for whom today is a birthday, please pass them my best wishes.

She is a lovely girl. Let's just hope she survives the experience of becoming a royal one. At least she shows signs of having a sense of humour which must be a help.
I don't suppose any of the cup cakes survived?

cup cakes galore lovely people! photos only at this stage - they were sold, at my request, for the charity Help For Heroes on Friday in the pub

mig apparently he has promised her parents that what happened to his mother won't happen to her

fingers crossed, eh

Mel she is utterly beautiful (but a tad on the thin side at present) and what could set that off any better than a dress by my favourite design house, Alexander McQueen?!

Vicus I offer you a 'his' cupcake, which you can pretend is a slice of b'day cake, for your morning coffee or your afternoon tea - and thanks for the FB good wishes
