full moon rising

blue moon, you saw me standin' alone
without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own
blue moon, you knew just what I was there for
you heard me sayin' a prayer for
someone I really could care for

and then there suddenly appeared before me
the only one my arms will hold
I heard somebody whisper "please adore me"
and when I looked, the moon had turned to gold

and then there suddenly appeared before me
the only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "please adore me"
and when I looked, the moon had turned to gold

blue moon, now I'm no longer alone
without a dream in my heart, without a love of my own

ELLA

Magic! And if the lyrics are an accurate record of what took place...

do you know what, dear Christopher, right now I'm perfectly happy being single

I don't feel lonely, even tho I am alone a lot of the time, I know it won't be forever - when the children have all left home, I'll make more of an effort to get out there

but most of the time I'm just relieved that I don't have to worry about how someone else is, feel responsible for someone, that sort of thing; now I do know in a "healthy" relationship there is none of this co-dependancy stuff. . . I'm rambling

basically, what I'm trying to say is that it was a wonderful holiday and I didn't once feel that I was missing out by being there on my own

(despite the fact it probably would have been lovely if I'd met someone gorgeous!)

Wise woman : ) And that moon and the wonderfully blue night is something else!

You do yourself proud.

Heck, I'm proud for ya.
Hugely so.

But I'm thinking you could probably feeling me grinning clear over there.......

:-)

Wonderful setting.
I'll have a listen to Ella now...

You mean you don't worry about how I'm doin'?
Just kidding, of course, you are quite a wonderful human being and woman.
I love this song. Brings back memories from way long ago.

Peace

Mel glad you found a version that played where you are. . . really annoys me when teh net does that, oh well - it does all sorts of other wonderful things! like hook us up together

and yes, I was aware of your smiling. . . so you can imagine how much I grinned when I saw that halloween pot on a tiny island in the middle of the Red Sea. . .

mig the nights were truly wonderful. . . watching dusk hit the sky was lovely - when I first got there the moon was getting fatter in the east and by the time I left it was full in the west

and there were lots of lovely stars too

and walking back thru the hotel gardens when I was ready to turn in for the night was just lovely
