After 7 (yes, seven!) attempts at publishing a comment...I gave up!

dinahmow said...

Clearly, Blogger does not like Wordpress...

Mel said...

Oh.

*pulls up a comfy chair for dinahmow*

Have coffee. You'll feel better. :-)

*waves*
I do like the retro orange room! Jack colours, dontchaknow! Got a black cup? THAT'D rock!!!

But I can do the cozy fireplace with the bookshelves and the candles glowing.
<-- have punkin mug, will travel!

Black please! :-)

Vicus Scurra said...

Thank you for the invitation - go easy on the cuddling - my constitution is not what it was.

Mel said...

*chuckling*

And I'll opt for a chair in the orange room--just in case his constitution evolves! ROFL

*happily humming*

Mel said...

Yup. I've decided by the fire, snugglin' with a woolly blankie and a good book. NOT that I'd be reading, but it'd look good for any passer-by that might wanna interrupt my moment of 'nothingness'. :-/

Nothing wrong with a cuddle is there? I always thought cuddles were good for you.
Anyway, yes please. (with coffee??)
(and it's true Dinahmow, Blogger doesn't love wordpress at all, yesterday I tried to comment more times than I could be bothered to count - fingers crossed that Blogger's in a better mood today)

Mel said...

Black. The stronger the better--and definitely in front of the fireplace, tyvm.
It's been a difficult few days.
On second thought--just bring the pot!
:-)

Mel said...

Yaknow.....I'm trying to decide just how cozy I wanna get in this fireside room......
Actually, I think quacking duckie slippers and fuzzy jammies might be a good plan. And another cuppa, ty.

Mel just off to the dentist to have the abscess/tooth removed - will make a fresh pot when I get back!

Dinah and mig thank you for your perseverance! none of my technology seems to be compatible with real life at the moment - computer crashes everytime I turn it on. . . if I didn't have to pay a small fortune for the joy of the dentist, I'd buy a new one!

Vicus I think you ask if it has a comfortable cushion

Mel said...

It's only a 'small fortune' to the dentist? That's amazing.........

<-- going to top up the cup and have a bit of peace

mig bardsley said...

Hope the tooth removal was fast and helpful! Then it will be worth the small fortune quickly. Abscesses are the devil aren't they!
(I'm commenting via my old blog as blogger and wordpress don't get on at the moment)

Extra huge mug filled strong & piping hot. With a dash of cream. Please and thank you kindly. :)

By the fire, slippers, blankies, and extra hugs for mel.

and a shot of bourbon for your dental relief....

xo

Mel said...

Bourbon.....wow.... LOL I guess that'll work!

However--Black with no bourbon for me.

<-- doesn't have the dental issue today (thankfully.....you poor thing....)

it's agony, Mel

)-:

he had to use a mallet to get the third root out. . . he cut the gum around the tooth on the inside and out of my jaw. . . he sewed the inside of my cheek to the gum to make the suture. . .

I looked like the elephant man for two days and now the swelling's drained into my neck so I have a goitre and my face has gone that greeny/yellow you get with bruises, and I have half a black eye

and it really really hurts

*sob*

<--- is feeling VERY sorry for herself

(and, dear G, can't even have a splash of whiskey in hot milk at night to help me sleep because of the mega-antibiotics)(just as well, really, probably wouldn't be a good combo with all the drugs!)

<---- promises to stop moaning soon

english inukshuk said...

(mig when I wrote "small" fortune, I did in facy mean "very large amount of money". . . unbelievable!!!)

Mel said...

HOLY cow.

I grabbed my face and shuddered just reading that.

I'm going to hope some healing has happened for you in the last few 24 hours.
And I'm going to hope for continued healing. I guess that's just what I do--hope and continue hoping.

And drink coffee. LOL

english inukshuk said...

I'm carefully sipping coffee with you, dearheart. . .

. . .didn't tell you abou the bone graft, did I (was sparing your empathatic "ouches", if truth be told). . . well, bits of it keep working their way out of my jaw inbetween the sutures and into my mouth: YUK!!!! the dentist said to expect as much as 25% of the stuff to escape - but what he didn't tell me was that it results in you feeling as if you have a mouth full of sand at the very worst and as if you have tiny pieces of egg shell elusively hiding themselves around all the hurty suturing at best(AND one of his darn stitches came unstitched and after hours of feeling as if I'd half swallowed a ball of string, I decided to try and snip it off: BIG MISTAKE!!!!)

if it didn't hurt to laugh, I'd be laughing

what a mess!

it's weird, suffering from bouts of depression is one thing, but real physical pain is quite another

so, here's to the healing thoughts and positive vibes

the ones that get you thru the day when it seems like little else does!

*tops up overyone's coffee*

(-:

<--- that's a virtual smile, as I actually can't right now - but it'll all be better soon, eh!

I thought those sutures were suppose to dissolve.

*wincing* Man, I hope it's getting better for you.

Mel said...

Okay--we need to find you a replacement for the inukshuk that got lost in cyberspace. OR...we need to help you relocate it from the Picasa photo place that stores photos.
OR I can just pretend it's a closeup of a snowy inukshuk and let it go....

:-/

So what if it's 7F -- the sun is shining and no doubt the eagles are happily circling.
