there's not much that persuades me out of the safety and comfort of
I,LTV Towers these days - however, I always make an exception for tall thin sinewy men with legs of steel and something firm between them. . . even better when they arrive en masse. . .
and guess who else I spotted! can you?
it's
The Teen. . . (and no, he's not the chap in the foreground wearing an Olympic uniform) - so (here's the inevitable bit) guess what we're humming today?
'specially for shot (-:

Wow...that must have been something to watch happening.........
Talk about a throng of people.
Here's one that I would have avoided like the plague.
Just like I avoided the RAGBRAI that was in full force this week....lots of bicycles, lots of noise!
*laughing* Lots of good fun and beer drinkin', methinks.....
NO gold medals, just a dip of the front tire in two different rivers, but darn good fun I hear.
Oh Mel! You and Himself must try and watch the opening ceremony together. . . .it was lovely (-:
Hee hee! I guess right.
Much less prestigious, the Tour of Elk Grove starts this week.
Which means they'll be blocking my street again.
now, I note - dear friend - that a band called 7th Heaven are providing the "entertainment"
but why is that not you and Big Bro SPidER????? an opportunity missed, methinks
(-;
XXX
Wow....we have RAGBRAI, he has the Elk Grove Gala....the world's gone mad with people's on bikes....
Thinking yours outdoes our for 'cool'....
An interesting story about 7th Heaven. Waaaaaaay back in the day, we (Gypsy Blue) got them their first gig at the (then) prestigious Thirsty Whale, the place where everyone went to see and be seen. They've continued on in some form or another since the late '80s and are one of the areas top drawing bands. While their show is entertaining, I'm not a fan as much of their audio is pre-recorded and they simply 'play along', which I think is cheating.
Well I looked very hard and though I enjoyed the lean machines, I couldn't see him. *waving anyway*
*waving too!!*
After scanning the photos one more time, I think I understand how the view interested you.
*laughing*
Cool bikes! :-D
Ah yes--and here it is Friday!
And here I am with my coffee cup...and a funky little plate with dividers.
:-/
Yeahyeah.....I still think some things just shouldn't touch.
OH! And last night we finally tuned in some of the Olympics...without sound because himself is agitated with the NBC commentators.
Yep.....like England doesn't focus on their athletes and Germany doesn't focus on theirs. LOLOL He's so flipping silly sometimes it's unreal.
I'm still here! Not following the 'lympics much as the time difference makes it awkward. And the focus is all Aussie.Of course.
But The Man will want to stay up to watch track and field, I'm sure.
*laughing* I see it's a universal issue that we'd wanna focus on the folks representing the country of choice.
Ah well--it's been good fun and no major disasters (or so he says with crossed fingers).
I've rather enjoyed getting snippets and looking at photos that are everywhere on the world wide web.
<-- not a good candidate for watching events......too easily distracted by anything that might or might not move......
*looking around* Is there coffee around this joint? I could use a cup......
Wow....and then the fire goes out. Youse guys sure know how to throw a party! ;-)
I've fed Horatio and dawdled a bit as I finished off the cuppa coffee. Now--I'll find heels and take myself into work. That's AFTER I have a word or two with the two hummingbirdies that aren't sharing the feeder well.
The little boogers.......LOL
*yawning and sipping*
Not sure--maybe it was the thunderstorms early this morning. *rubbing eyes* Or, maybe it's a lack of caffeine....
THAT bit I can rectify! LOL
<-- going for more coffee
I dunno Mel, I remember when I was a wee lad, the olympic coverage was far less jingoistic. They covered the interesting stories and whomever places at the top, not just "and 18th, So-and-So from the USA".
Meh...glad it's over.
*laughing*
I'm glad there was no tragedy of the international type--leastwise none that himself is upside down over.
And he's such an easy one to push in that direction......LOL
And sometimes when rain happens--ya just wanna toss the windows open, crawl into bed and listen.
It's raining! :-)
Ummmm....no, I'm not going to crawl back into bed. But I might consider splashing in the puddles!
Ohhhhhh...now there's a good plan!
<-- going now!
After weeks running with no rain, it's nice to have puddles to splash in.
Kinda wondering how everyone there is fairing after the big to-do is completed and school is resumed.
It must be something close to ..... normal!
Wow.....
<-- came for coffee
<-- creature of habit
<-- played with youknowwho
AHEM!?
Erm, hi? Hey sweetie! (and Mel!) (you know you're a sweetie too, right? But not in the same way as the man from Chicago. . . ) (Right, I'll stop, bracketing before I incriminate myself)
Where was I?
Oh! Polzeath! And now I'm back! Postcards bought, stamps bought. . . Did I,even get a chance to write them? No!
*sigh*
x
Good grief
That took ages!
What has happened to blogger?
You do know I melt when you call me sweetie, right?
Welcome back. You were missed.
And you know how much I smile when you say things like that. . .
X
And ya know the two of you make me giggle?
Just sayin'......
Want me to say something about the silly word ver?
*covering mouth*
It's a case of 'if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all'.....
Welcome back, btw!!
Lemme see if I have this right.....roving reporter with no photos of the rovings?
:-/
*ahem*
:) I'm with Mel on this one...the trip didn't happen without photographic evidence.
tsk
I dunno. ..
go to all that trouble (new blogger is a bugger, eh) to pop in a view or two and the man from Chicagoland doesn't even notice it
)-:
you ok, shot? I worry when you slip thru the gaps of the space time continuum and don't re-emerge. . .
*hugs*
