. . .round. . .
like a circle in a spiral.

like a wheel within a wheel
.
.

never ending or beginning
.

on an ever-spinning reel

like a snowball down a mountain.

or a carnival balloon

like a carousel that's turning.

running rings around the moon

like a clock whose hands are sweeping
past the minutes of its face
and the world is like an apple
whirling silently in space

like the circles that you find

in the windmills of your mind. . .
. . .like a tunnel that you follow, to a tunnel of its own
past the minutes of its face

and the world is like an apple
whirling silently in space

like the circles that you find

in the windmills of your mind. . .
. . .like a tunnel that you follow, to a tunnel of its own

down a hollow to a cavern
where the sun has never shone
where the sun has never shone

like a door that keeps revolving

or the ripples from a pebble

past the minutes of its face

whirling silently in space

like the circles that you find
in the windmills of your mind. . .
in the windmills of your mind. . .

. . .keys that jingle in your pocket

words that jangle in your head

why did summer go so quickly?
was it something that you said?.
was it something that you said?.

lovers walk along a shore

and leave their footprints in the sand

is the sound of distant drumming
just the fingers of your hand?
just the fingers of your hand?

pictures hanging in a hallway

and the fragment of a song
half-remembered names and faces
half-remembered names and faces

but to whom do they belong?

when you knew that it was over
you were suddenly aware
you were suddenly aware

that the autumn leaves were turning
to the colour of her hair. . .

. . .like a circle in a spiral
like a wheel within a wheel

never ending or beginning

on an ever-spinning reel

as the images unwind

like the circles that you find

in the windmills of your mind...

I don't suppose I'll be out anything (but some pride and ego) when I admit I got tearful when I read/sang along with the amazing photos that make up some huge, fond memories for me. What the heck....I have more than my share of ego. Undoubtedly it's good for me to fess up to the humanness when it happens.
People really HAVE missed you yaknow.
humanness. . .
thereby lie all our faults (well, mine at least)
and, possibly (definitely in your case) strengths and virtues
I thought for a very long time that somethings belong in the past
I know I am right
you are not one of them, dearheart
I have missed you too!
I have spent a good few years denying emotion - refusing and avoiding it - and then the other day I found my heart bursting with joy, tears streaming down my face
not sure heartache and puffy eyes were what I expected (or wanted)
hey ho
we don't get what we want, we get what we're given
or, in some cases, what we ask for
nothing wrong with pride and ego, so long as one's aware
I have no idea what I'm really trying to say (nothing new there then) and I'm not wearing my glasses so can't read what I've written (yup - she wears glasses now) but I hope you know you have been missed too
so very much
Oh good---a kindred spirit WITH glasses. ;-)
Brief burst of a deep settling in--matters not. I'll be grateful no matter what!
Yep--gonna hum and be glad for the goodness. :-)
just for you - an update (-: XXX
