words

there have been a lot of them swishing and swooshing around in my head recently

ownership responsibility manipulation control (coercion, even)

you'll be pleased to know that the word of the day is "ownership"

I'm a sucker for ownership. NOT the 'beat yourself up' kinda ownership, but 'this is my part in the mix and what I coulda done different' kinda ownership. You know me, constantly looking for my part--cuz it's ME I can do something with. Notsomuch some other person.

Ownership pleases me! Coersion....ummm...yikes! ;-)

yup - ownership

for me it's of my stuff and I've learnt enough over the last decade or so (took a while for some of it to sink in, but I recognise the difference now! lol) not to be taking on other people's stuff as if it's any of my responsibility

similarly, when someone else tries to make me own their "stuff" (or attempts to "rescue"/"fix" me and "solve" my "problems" - YIKES!!!) I know full well where that suitcase of baggage is going (and it ain't in my locker!)

sad in a way, but hey

I've always fancied "phylactery" and "pulchritude".

shot I was going to ask you to put those in a sentence. . . but I looked them up in a dictionary instead

you are one educated man

such big words! with such wonderful meanings!

I love "charms", especially the sort you attach to a little bracelet and wear on a wrist. . . in fact I have my childhood charm bracelet on my dressing table and over the years it has had some lovely charms added to it (had to take off a few of the slightly dogier ones from my yoof, but hey)

and sometimes, on VERY special occasions, I wear it. . .

now, if only on those special occasions I could achieve a state of pulchritude, I'd be one happy woman

alas, no

looks have never been my forte

ah well

you can't have it all now can you
