a pinch and a kick for playing a trick: spot the difference

(I'll give you a clue: Place de la Concorde, Paris, France)(Luxor Temple, Luxor, Egypt)

it's not often that one sees both the obelisks from the temple built by Hatshepsut, Amenhotep III and Rameses II in the same place - but you can here!

it was Rameses II who built the two obelisks, one of which was taken to France, and is now at the centre of the Place de la Concorde. . . (at the time my Egyptian guide told me that in exchange for the obelisk the French gave the Egyptians a clock which broke on the day it was installed and has never worked since!)

and the other difference? hot and blistering in Luxor, cold and rainy in Paris

oh well. . . one can't have it all!

love locked on the Tour Eiffel

the French - so romantic! I was there with two girly teens who fell for the charms of a couple of French boy buskers (I'm not going to say we "stalked" them around Paris, but if we could have we probably would have!) (however, email addresses, mobile phone numbers and YouTube addresses have been exchanged) and if you need an explanation for the photo, you'll find it here

I hope your summer is full of love!
