Big innit! Not my favourite Gormley I'm afraid. I'd rather a Hepworth or a Moore - on the moor :) I'm not altogether happy about a sculpture which dwarfs the hills. (Though I love the photo with the dwarfed people at its base)
I'm not sure I want my angel of the north to look like this--still think we oughta have one. Maybe with different wings. I mean, it gets pretty gusty around these parts.....just sayin'....

Wow.....I think everyone should have an angel of the north. :-)
Have you ever driven past it on the A1(M)? As you climb up south away from Tyneside suddenly it's there, looming up above you in all its vastness.
