Oh gosh.......

Made me weepy and I'm not certain why... But it's a great cuppa java, always. And it's a safeplace--a home from home. And you know I like roasting marshmallows (well, burning them actually--but that's my deal, I guess....LOL). And I'm such a dreamer. A bit 'forced' into those healthy snacks thanks to the silly 'gluten free' jazz.
And Horatio is such a good little fella.......

((((((((((( ILTV ))))))))))))))

It just feels like home to me.

So.
Yes, please--black. It's getting late in the evening but I'm always game.
Always.

Sun's up--new day...... Not a whole lot to report, 'cept the swing is on the patio.

Okay...so that's HUGE in my world and minute in the big scheme of things. But I'm a happy bunny. :-)

Happy is good!

*yawning*

Yes please.....black.

I know--generally with a bit of cream and a bit of sugar at this hour.
Yeah, well......notsomuch this morning.

Perhaps whatever's in Alice's bottle would be be helpful? :-/

Mel said...

Sun was out--and it pretended it was spring for a few days. Complete with a storm or two.....to ten tornadoes on the other side of the state. (needed to qualify that--sister freaked out when the news talked it!)

But the swing is out, the swing is out!!!!!!

Even if it's with a blankie and a jacket--the SWING is OUT! :-D

Mel said...

LOL I'm starting to feel like a stalker.

I'm just after the marshmallows.
k......and maybe a bit of coffee.....

I mean no harm. :-D

I should have come here sooner, but I was busy with other stuff.
Today marks the 43rd anniversary of the day I got drafted into the US Army. That's all the news I have. Oh, and when I'm done looking at your blog and a quick stop over at Mel's, I'm going to the Dish and the Spoon coffee shop in town and riding my British made Triumph motorcycle to get there.
Thanks for the warm and delightful welcome. Wish I could ride that trumpet over inn the Motherland. That would be cool!~

Peace

...and then changed pants one more time..

...so it was TOO LATE for coffee.

:)

Hope you've had a good day, J.

I thought I had that down pretty well.
APPARENTLY she's figured out it's the LENGTH OF TIME you whine and grump!

...And THIS is why I love her! LOL

Holy cow--chasing my own tail, dontchaknow.... *sigh* But here's a good place to just sorta STOP and take a breather.

<-- stopping to take a breather

Life has a way of doing that, huh?

I'm hoping what's claiming you is GOOD stuff and bringing you parcels of great joy.

Mel said...

Yup--back again!

With coffee, this time...so you don't haffta share. Well, that's unless you wanna share.

<-- is down to the bottom of the cup

I'd let ya top it off cuz I'm so helpful. :-D

english inukshuk said...

for you, dearheart, there's always a fresh pot. . . so I'll top you up! and again. . . and again and again

the sun is finaly shining in the UK and the children are on their Easter holidays. . . Mini-Teen has gone on a school trip to France, so there was much shopping and packing and repacking and then a very early morning to get her to the coach on time. . . the school's texted a few times: they've been to an aquarium, to the beach, to a chocolate factory, had a disco and a games night and tomorrow off to Paris. . .

she took a couple of exams back in the early spring and the results came thru - top marks in one and only one wrong in another, so two A* GCSEs at the age of thirteen-and-a-half: not bad really, in fact very good!!!

as for the XY Teens, one of them has been xBoxing in his PJs 24/7 for well over a week now and the other has just been accepted at Art College - so all's well with them. . .

. . .and as for my good self, I've booked a very grown-up all-by-myself holiday to. . .

*trumpet fan-fair*

. . .Egypt

*frowns*

not the potentially dangerous revolution struck Cairo but the seaside (the Red Sea, just to the east of the Sahara Desert)(you know me, a holiday's not a holiday unless there's a seaside)

(-:

so, many hugs in the meantime, dear Mel and also BIG HUGS to G and mig

Oh wow! Egypt. There I was almost in Wales and you've gone off to the land of Sphinxes and Pharoahs. Can't wait to hear about it!
And the cleverness of the mini-teen too.
Wonderful news all of it.
((((((((((Inukshuk)))))))))

Anonymous G said...

((((iltv)))))

Oh! I am so happy you brewed up a pot for mel and emerged with stories to tell!
(hey - that rhymes!)

mini-teen is off to france?! my ex-secret santa gift exchange buddy is frolicking in the land i dream of visiting. sighhh... hope she makes LOTS of wonderful memories!!

and YOU? off to Egypt! wowWOWwow :)
and the ocean too. sighhh...

HUGS - lots of squishy ones - back to you!!

xo

*settling in with the whitecup*

Ahhhh....how proud you must be of the brilliant almost 14 year old. Holy cow! Good for her! Nothing like acing tests to give you reason to puff up a bit.

Art College and xBoxing in pj's--what a deal those are. I need to consider a pj day with a box of crayons and finger paints in celebration. (note I'll use any excuse for crayons and finger paints, tyvm!)

And you with plans to go to the non-revolution filled part of Egypt with the seaside!! Okay, now there's a vacation to get excited about. (no jokes about parting the Red Sea from me!) How very cool will that be! All set, just the packing bit to do. ('just'.....LOL) I know that's my least favorite part. Unpacking is a zip and dump deal--preferably by the new washing machine that we can hope is working well, under the supervision of jammie clad younger people one can hope! LOL I'm such a dreamer.

Egypt. How very cool.

*checking cup and holding it out*

Yes, please......more. :-)
(Ignore the goobery thingies--I'm still in training......)

Mel said...

Shhhhhhhhh....

<-- snuck in to play with Horatio

(already had the 'allowed' last cuppa coffee for the evening--figured you wouldn't mind if I played with the hamster)

Mel said...

*laughing* He's so cute when he tap dances.

Yeah, yeah....another day done. Playing with Horatio at the end of a long day is a good thing.
PLUS he gets a treat or two.....or seven.....*laughing*

Anonymous said...

I've been playing with him too. He just gave me such a look and then carried on cleaning his whiskers. I just had to give him a treat too. (I hope we aren't overfeeding him!)

it's still Friday here.

and Earth Day.

Starbucks, in hono(u)r of Earth Day, offers a free pour if you bring your own cup.

which I did. (went to Starbucks) (brought my own cup)

so it's still Friday here. And I'm drinking coffee with y'all.

:)

Mel said...

She had starbucks!

Whoa....lucky her. Certainly WAS a good Friday!

And now it's Saturday. Horatio is entertaining me with his run in the wheel--and I'm about to head to the patio. Jack-o-lantern cup in hand.

Yeah, yeah.....I know it's not Halloween yet.
:-/

Like this matters?!
Not one darn bit. LOL

((((((((((( ILTV )))))))))))))

She had Starbucks.

And a happy bunny day to you, ma'am.

Wishing you all the black jelly beans! :-)

(((((((((( ILTV )))))))))

Black jelly beans? What do they taste of? Coffee?
dropping in with my coffee to see how w all are.

Mel said...

Right. Black jelly beans in coffee.

:-/

Ummmm.....

*checking out the coffee cup*

NO WAY!
They're kinda licorice flavored.
Somehow I can't fathom licorice flavored coffee.

COULD be that I'm just being rigid and passing by a new and innovative coffee flavor that Starbucks'll make a fortune off of!

Uh huh......I'm thinkin' notsomuch....

OMG

O
M
G

She drowned a black jelly bean!!!!!!!

:-/

english inukshuk said...

yum - I like liquorice!! it's one of the best things about a sherbert fountain (ask The Brit, Mel)

lovely hug Mig, thanking you!

Vicus Scurra said...

The sherbert is quite good too. Not wishing to create a radical situation, however.

Mel said...

:-/ As long as it ain't getting dropped into coffee--I'm good with that.....

I don't believe she drowned a black jelly bean.

And if Starbucks makes a mint off the idea--royalties oughta happen!

Ummmmmm.....can I have a teensy part of that? JUST enough to go to Egypt and the beach maybe?
:-D

Anonymous said...

I didn't really, honest.
Share a sherbet with you Inukshuk - you have the liquorice and I'll have the sherbet.
(Why is it called a fountain anyway? It's more like a.... Well it's not a lot like a fountain is it?)

Mel said...

Okay okay.....what's a fountain?

I am not waking him up at this hour--he'll tell me it's the middle of the night.

*rolling eyes*

Spadoman said...

I'm missin' you. My failure to come here more often has made me lost to you and that makes me sad. Hope all is good. Thanks for the coffee and snacks.

Peace

english inukshuk said...

man good to hear from you! I've been having a different kind of energy recently (so not here much, which is a little strange after so many years!!) but have been missing you too!

(-:

Mel and mig I always thought the fountain was cos of what happened when the sherbert gets damp in your mouth

oo-er-missus!!!

Vicus please ignore the above reference to oral fizzing - I'm sure it's not what you had in mind at all. . .

mig bardsley said...

Momentarily I misread that as when it gets damp in your youth and I thought Oh ! Are you offering us a fountain of youth? I could do with one of those!
Fizz!

Mel said...

I did NOT just read that.

Did NOT!

Nope.
