a pinch and a kick for playing a trick: spot the difference

(I'll give you a clue: Place de la Concorde, Paris, France)(Luxor Temple, Luxor, Egypt)

it's not often that one sees both the obelisks from the temple built by Hatshepsut, Amenhotep III and Rameses II in the same place - but you can here!

it was Rameses II who built the two obelisks, one of which was taken to France, and is now at the centre of the Place de la Concorde. . . (at the time my Egyptian guide told me that in exchange for the obelisk the French gave the Egyptians a clock which broke on the day it was installed and has never worked since!)

and the other difference? hot and blistering in Luxor, cold and rainy in Paris

oh well. . . one can't have it all!

And all THEY got was a cheap clock that didn't work.
What a ripoff. LOL

But they DO have a cool oeblisk!
And one's got shiny stuff atop it but the other is guarded by stone men that do NOT want to be messed with.
I'm thinkin' that's better than a street lamp?

Okay....they're BOTH cool...but I'm going to the temple cuz it's got a whole different feel than a busy street.

But it IS Paris......
So I might wanna consider the option again.....maybe...
